The Dungeon

“The Dungeon was originally created by Rongo Keene and ex coach, Carl Waitoa in 2013 after Commercial gyms would not accept the pairs training methods. The two built the gym in a warehouse in Kalgoorlie, they brought old equipment of local gyms that they no longer needed, and with the help of a welder, built most of the Strongman equipment themselves. The Dungeon had allowed for the athlete to train in his own environment without the controversy of others, and the pair continued to do so until they separated in 2017.

Rongo Keene has since managed to collect new equipment that is more up to competition specs,The athlete is excited to say the least as he struggled in the past with using old equipment to get him up to competition standard.

Rongo Keene acknowledges the hard work he and his first coach Carl had done and is now focusing on the future with current coach Australian strength coach – Sebastion Oreb.
